About BubbleMarkets
BubbleMarkets is a multi-asset market visualiser: every asset is drawn as a bubble sized by market capitalisation and coloured by its price change, so an entire market reads at a glance. It covers roughly 1,500 US stocks, ~200 ETFs, ~16,000 cryptocurrencies, ~130 currencies and ~1,900 forex pairs, 24 commodity contracts, the US Treasury yield curve and the major world indices — every major asset class in one board, where the established bubble maps are crypto-only.
How the bubbles work
Bubble radius is derived from market capitalisation (or volume, when you switch the sizing metric) across ten size tiers, from 15px for the smallest assets to 305px for the largest at a 900px baseline, auto-scaled to the screen. Colour intensity maps to the percentage move over the selected timeframe — 1h, 24h, 7d or 30d — and is calibrated per market, because a 15% day is normal in crypto and extraordinary in forex.
Where the data comes from
Crypto prices come from CoinGecko; equities, ETFs and forex from Financial Modeling Prep; commodities and Treasury yields from their respective public providers. Refresh rate depends on the plan and the market: from every 1-2 minutes on the free tier, down to 30 seconds on Pro, and live streaming on crypto and US equities for Professional. Data is served through the same public API documented at /developer.
